Did you hear the news? On Wednesday, our scrappy little Fellow team pulled off a big Kickstarter launch amidst the Black Friday hustle, Cyber Monday craziness, office Christmas partying, and introducing three new products: Podium Trivet, Junior, and Matte Black Joey.

PHEW.

To say we are exhausted would be an understatement. But that’s what coffee is for, right?

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the video and take a gander at our Kickstarter page, it includes balloon animals, watermelon, and most importantly, Stagg EKG, our latest pride and joy. Stagg EKG is an electric pour-over kettle with variable temperature control, optional Acaia Bluetooth app connectivity, and a stunning, minimalist design. We like to say there’s finally an electric kettle on the market that pours as good as it looks!

Back in November, three members of the Fellow team (Jake, Hanna, and Hannah) flew to Los Angeles to shoot the video. We teamed up with Cassandra Brooksbank, The X Collective, and Matthew Macar to help with filming and editing, and holy moly, we couldn’t be more proud of the video.

Since you didn’t get to see our founder try on various sized mustaches in person, we thought we’d try to share some other behind-the-scenes antics. Here’s the shoot weekend by the numbers:

Airport Bloody Marys: 3

Nights in Los Angeles: 4

Hours Filming: 18

Back-Up Mustaches On Hand: 2

Balloon Animals Blown-Up: 75

Watermelons Sliced Like Butter: 4

The team took a field trip to Santa Monica beach to work off some stress before shoot day.

The founder and CEO of Fellow himself, folks.

The Founder of Fellow, Jake

Ballon animals on Hannah

Jake attended Clown School when he was 10 and learned how to make balloon animals. We are not joking.

Filming at Demitasse Coffee Roasters

We were lucky to shoot our Stagg EKG+ connected café scene in Demitasse Coffee Roasters. They gave us their leftover pastries from the day, and we were in carb heaven.
