Overview
Sourced from one of Western Ethiopia’s oldest and most famous farmer cooperatives, Nano Challa, Passenger’s Agaro is a Fellow-favorite. We shared it last year on our super-curated coffee service Fellow Drops, and this year’s roast is another lemon-sweet winner. It starts with a sweet aroma, then sips like apple pie with a generous squeeze of juicy Meyer lemon in the mix.

Pour Over
Stagg X/ flat bottom drippers
Ingredients:
Coffee: 15g
Water: 225g at 210°F
Grind Settings:
Ode + SSP Burrs: 4 - 5
Ode Gen 2 Burrs: 3 - 4
Ode Gen 1 Burrs: 2 - 3
Opus: 4 - 5 (inner ring at 0)
Steps:
Grind coffee at medium-fine setting
Rinse filter with 210°F water
Bloom: Pour to 50g water
Pour to 125g
Final pour to 225g
Target brew time: 2:45 minutes
Ratio: 15:1
French Press
Using Clara French Press
Ingredients:
Coffee: 60g
Water: 840g at 210°F
Grind Settings:
Ode + SSP Burrs: 5 - 6
Ode Gen 2 Burrs: 4 - 5
Ode Gen 1 Burrs: 3 - 4
Opus: 5 - 6
Steps:
Grind coffee at coarse setting
Add coffee to French Press
Add 840g of water at 210°F
Stir and replace lid
Let sit for 5 minutes 30 seconds
Remove lid and break crust
Plunge gently
Serve immediately
