Roasted by the preeminent roaster in Berlin, Germany, Mahembe is a strikingly clean representation of Rwanda’s terroir. The Barn have worked with producer Justin Musabyimana for eight years and this washed Red Bourbon is the cornerstone of their Rwandan collection. The Barn noted a luxurious cup profile reminiscent of Black Forest gateau. We tasted tart orange, plum, grape soda, and honey, with a stone fruit aroma and a juicy lime acidity.
