Essential tools to elevate your Aiden brewing experience

So, you’ve got your Aiden Precision Coffee Maker and can’t wait to start brewing like a pro. But now you’re wondering: what else do I need to make sure my coffee game is on point from day one? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a list of essentials, plus a few extras if you want to take things up a notch.

1. A good burr grinder

To get the most out of your Aiden, a quality burr grinder is essential since Aiden does NOT have a built-in grinder. Freshly ground beans make a world of difference compared to pre-ground coffee, and a burr grinder ensures consistent, even grinds for a better brew. We recommend our Opus Conical Burr Grinder for its versatility—it can grind everything from espresso to cold brew. For more serious coffee enthusiasts focused on brewed methods like pour-over or drip, the Ode Gen 2 Brew Grinder is perfect with its café-grade performance and precision. Both grinders offer excellent grind consistency, ensuring every cup brewed with Aiden is spot-on.

2. High-quality coffee beans

The beans you choose matter— a lot. If you're just starting your coffee journey, we suggest grabbing some beans from our carefully curated collection here. From single-origin beans to more adventurous blends, we have something for every palette.

Want to keep it local? Visit your favorite nearby coffee shop for recommendations. Once you’ve got your beans, look at the bag for roast indicators (light, medium, or dark roast). Aiden’s built-in brew profiles make it super easy to match the settings for the type of roast you’re using, taking the guesswork out of the process.

3. A coffee scale

Weighing your beans is key to consistent brewing, and a digital scale will give you the accuracy you need. We recommend our Tally Pro Precision Scale for its precise measurements and user-friendly design, accurate to 0.1 grams.

No scale? No problem! Both of our grinders come with volumetric dosing lids that allow you to measure whole beans before grinding. Also, Aiden’s built-in recommendations for tablespoons mean you can still brew delicious coffee without needing to weigh your beans.

4. A vacuum-sealed canister

Freshness is key! Coffee beans start losing their flavor soon after being exposed to air, so investing in a vacuum-sealed canister will help keep them at their best. That’s where our Atmos Electric Vacuum Canister comes in. This innovative canister removes air from inside at the press of a button, creating a vacuum seal to extend the shelf life of your beans. It’s a sleek, easy-to-use option for maintaining the freshness of your beans, ensuring that every brew with Aiden tastes as good as possible.

5. Aiden's built-in brew

Once you’ve got your grinder and beans sorted, brewing with Aiden is a breeze. The advanced technology built into Aiden includes profiles based on common roast levels (light, medium, dark), and the machine will automatically select the optimal settings for each. No need to tweak the temperature or grind size unless you want to—Aiden does all the heavy lifting for you.
