Equator was the first coffee roaster in California to become a Certified B Corp and continues to be innovative and impact-driven in every aspect of their business.
Founded and owned by Helen Russell and Brooke McDonnell, Equator was the first LGTBQ owned business to win National Small Business of the Year.
Equator partnered with Willem Boot to open their own farm, Finca Sophia, in Panama, growing award-winning coffees that have broken the world record for price sold at auction.
