Muriama Dark Roast

Though some people associate dark roasts with lower quality, we have found that excellent coffees can produce remarkably complex cups at darker roast levels. The dense, sweet, and fruit-forward coffees from Muriama Estate are particularly well suited to this style. 

Founded in 1954 with just 100 trees, Muriama is a second-generation family farm in Kenya that has steadily invested in greater control over processing and quality. We were introduced to the estate through our work with the Kushikamana farmers’ collective and have purchased their coffee nearly every year since 2017.
