Have Questions?
What's the difference between Fellow's travel mugs, ceramic mugs, and glassware, and how do I know which type I need?
It comes down to where you're drinking. Travel mugs like the Carter line are insulated and built for going places: the car, your desk, a walk. Ceramic mugs and glassware are meant to stay home, better for savoring flavor and aroma at the table but with no insulation for the road. If you need one thing to do double duty, a Carter mug is the more versatile pick.
What is "True Taste" ceramic coating, and does it actually change how my drink tastes?
It's an interior ceramic coating, used inside Carter mugs and tumblers, designed to avoid the metallic aftertaste that plain stainless steel can sometimes impart. That's most noticeable with black coffee or tea. It won't change your recipe or brew, but it can make what's already in the cup taste cleaner.
Are Fellow mugs and tumblers dishwasher safe?
Carter mugs and tumblers are dishwasher safe. To keep lids with moving parts, like slide locks and splash guards, working their best, we recommend hand-washing them. Our ceramic mugs are not dishwasher safe, so please hand-wash those.
What should I look for in drinkware if I'm buying it as a gift?
Personalization options like the Carter 3-in-1 Lid System, and gift sets like The Ceramic Set or the Pirch Espresso Glass 6-Pack, tend to feel more considered than a single standalone item. Beyond that, match the piece to how the recipient actually drinks: coffee on the go, tea at home, wine in the evening. A neutral, versatile color helps, and something that fits their routine will get more use than something purely decorative.
Which travel mug should I get if I want to brew directly into it?
Look for a wider mouth, like Carter Wide Mug, which is compatible with the AeroPress® and most standard drippers. Narrower, more portable options like Carter Move Mug prioritize a secure car-friendly fit over brew-in-mug compatibility.
Is Fellow drinkware good for cold drinks too, or just coffee?
Yes. Insulated pieces like Carter Cold Tumbler and Rocky Lowball Tumbler are built specifically to keep cold drinks cold, and the double-wall stainless steel construction across the Carter line works in both directions: hot stays hot, cold stays cold.
What's the difference between Rocky Lowball, Ruby Wine Tumbler, and Picnic Tumbler Set? Are those for coffee or something else?
These live more in barware than coffee. Rocky Lowball is an insulated tumbler built for cold cocktails and spirits, Ruby Wine Tumbler is shaped for wine specifically, and The Picnic Tumbler Set bundles multiple tumblers for outdoor, casual entertaining. They're part of the same design language as the coffee-focused Carters but built for a different part of your day.
