An anaerobic natural from Ratnagiri Estate in India's Western Ghats, sourced by Yeri Coffee and roasted medium-light to highlight its stone-fruit sweetness and syrupy body.
India is the world's sixth largest coffee producer but almost none of its specialty-grade beans reach American shelves. Sundar Chellappa set out to change this. Chellappa moved to New York in the early 2000s and spent years looking for the Indian coffee he grew up with. He was startled when he found farms in the Western Ghats producing coffee that rivaled the best specialty origins in the world. On March 27, 2025, he launched Yeri Coffee from his apartment in Harlem.
Cherry Pick comes from Ratnagiri Estate in the Bababudangiri region, family-owned by the Patre family since 1927. Third-generation grower Ashok Patre shade-grows the cherries alongside pepper and cardamom at 1,200 meters. The cherries go through a meticulous anaerobic natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks, locking in the stone-fruit sweetness and syrupy body that defines this lot.
Sweet apple. Cherry jam. Milk chocolate.

Grind Guidance
Start in the middle of your espresso range on your grinder, and Series 1 will tell you to go finer or coarser after your shot pulls. It is expected that you might need to adjust based on your specific variables (i.e. location, climate, water mineral content, etc.). Small adjustments go a long way!
Tips
-
Cherry Pick is a natural process coffee - expect a sweeter, more fruit-forward shot than typical washed espresso. Notes of sweet apple and cherry jam come through beautifully in milk drinks
-
Adjust grind size if your shot pulls too fast (grind finer) or too slow (grind coarser)
-
Clean your Series 1 regularly for optimal performance
-
Try as a cortado or macchiato to highlight the fruit notes without overpowering them
