Here's how we brewed this finely milled roasted green tea powder, similar to matcha yet naturally lower in caffeine—smokier, fuller-bodied, and layered with notes of milk chocolate, roasted cashew, and earthy umami.
Hojicha is a roasted green tea crafted from the Yabukita cultivar, a variety prized for its balance and depth. The roasting process transforms the leaves, drawing out warm, nutty, chocolate-forward notes while naturally reducing caffeine. Stone-milled into a fine powder, this format is ideal for traditional matcha-style preparation, lattes, or baked goods.
