Warm & Fuzzy, a Divina Providencia Red Bourbon, is the result of a decade-long relationship between Proud Mary and the Silva family and a meaningful example of how producer partnerships can translate into exceptional quality in the cup.
Grown in a unique microclimate near Apaneca, El Salvador, cool afternoon fog and slow cherry maturation bring out the balanced sweetness and clarity that make this coffee memorable.
Clean, sweet, and incredibly approachable without sacrificing complexity, this medium roast impresses with notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, and orange.

Dial rationale and other brew thoughts
-
Series 1 - The 1:2.5 ratio allows for a nice middle ground of body and sweetness, highlighting the round character of the coffee while preserving sweet dried fruit elements that got a bit lost in the mix at 1:1.5 or 1:2. For a mellower and more flavor delineated shot, definitely try going up to a 1:2.7. If you’re enjoying with a fair amount of milk (i.e. latte), try for a 1:2 in the same amount of extraction time.
-
Pour over - This slower hand pour method allows for extended contact time with the water, bringing out the balanced sweetness and clarity of the El Salvador. The deliberate pacing helps avoid over-extraction while maximizing the coffee's natural flavor complexity.
- Aiden - The Aiden's pulse brewing with intentional slow contact time brings out the balanced sweetness and clarity of this El Salvador natural. The three-pulse approach allows the coffee's delicate flavors to fully develop without mouth drying or otherwise harsh extraction.

Grind Guidance
Start in the middle of your espresso range on your grinder, and Series 1 will tell you to go finer or coarser after your shot pulls. It is expected that you might need to adjust based on your specific variables (i.e. location, climate, water mineral content, etc.). Small adjustments go a long way!
Tips
-
Adjust grind size if your shot pulls too fast (grind finer) or too slow (grind coarser)
-
Clean your Series 1 regularly for optimal performance
